Linkin Park: their story

10/12/2024

1996–2000: Foundation and early years. Linkin Park was founded by three high school friends: Mike Shinoda, Rob Bourdon, and Brad Delson. The three attended Agoura High School in Agoura Hills, California, a suburb of Los Angeles.

They chose "Linkin Park" because Chester used to drive by Lincoln Park in Santa Monica, CA after practice and it grabbed his attention. The guys in the band liked how it sounded. They changed the spelling so that they could buy the domain, since lincolnpark.com was already taken and was too expensive to buy.

Linkin Park announced a reunion tour and album, complete with new members Emily Armstrong and Colin Brittain, seven years after lead vocalist Chester Bennington died in 2017

"Talking to Myself" is a song by American rock band Linkin Park. The song is the second single from their seventh studio album, One More Light and was released on July 25, 2017. The music video was released on July 20, 2017, the same day that Linkin Park's lead vocalist, Chester Bennington, was found dead by suicide.
